The George W. Bush Virtual Presidential Library is now officially open. We’re nowhere near done. We’re off to a good start, but we’ve got a long way to go yet. There’s no shortage of outrageous information to include here.
Incidentally, all comments on the contents of the library should be made on the library blog, not on Turn-Left. There’s a good reason for that: Nobody will know what you’re talking about on this blog unless they visit the GWB Library.
I’m just using Turn-Left as a way to announce its opening.

Treason. Pure and simple - and on the Memorial Day weekend of all times. Bush and Cheney were indeed wrong. They shouldn’t have focused waterboarding on just the 3 terrorists. I’d have liked to have seen those responsible for this “virtual library” nonsense to have spent some time gasping for air while getting a free hair-washing courtesy of the CIA. Sean Penn, Rosie, Whoopi, Joy, Sherry and Babs, Keith Olbermann, the entire Kennedy family (now there’s a virtual library for you), Maureen Dowd, Al Franken…the list could go on forever.
It would be lovely entertainment along with a good steak and a martini.

By the way, one more comment: Who was the liar that said that the stuff I wrote about Bush’s religious/war updates was a scam? It isn’t, clearly. You can’t seem to provide even the smallest amount of back up. Let’s see it.
And,unfortunately, the truth keeps getting deeper. Since I can’t find any articles that say it was a scam, here’s more proof that George Bush was a religious zealot basing his war on the word of God.

Deb, you made your “personal life” public knowledge during the election on this website and others as well, and you spoke about homosexuality frequently. So, just like any other person who writes online about their personal life, it is now everybody’s business who reads it. That is one of the downfalls about going public, which might we add, was YOUR choice to do so. Now you reap what you have sown.

Deb: I believe I was the first to accuse your religious war updates post as crap. I have since scoured the internet for proof that the photos were photoshop crap, and I haven’t found any yet. I also haven’t found anything showing they are genuine. It may indeed be possible that they are genuine. You see Deb, unlike you who refuses to admit when you are wrong, I’m not afraid to say I may have erred. When I know for sure, I’ll be more than happy to shout it out. However, this is what I did find out so far:
Keith Urbahn, Rumsfeld’s aide, says Rummy only occasionally saw the reports and never personally showed them to President Bush. Urbahn says the reports were prepared by military personnel serving on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, which reported to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, not the secretary of Defense.
“Rumsfeld was fully aware that words and actions could be harmful and counterproductive to the war effort. It’s safe to say that some of these cover slides could be considered in that category,” Urbahn says. “The suggestion that Rumsfeld would have composed of, approved of, or personally shown the slides to President Bush is flat wrong. It did not happen.”
Plus, this “story” is only being reported by far-left publications and blogs, which is usually a fairly good indicator that it’s crap. I have no doubt Deb that you still think Dan Rather’s historic “scoop” on W’s National Guard service is genuine. Oh yeah, and I’m sure Alger Hiss was innocent too, but I digress. I’ve seen nothing on the news about it, or even from the pinnacle of Leftist-whore publications, The NY Times. So, I’ll say for now it is likely the photos do exist. Whether or not they are genuine or altered is in question. Whether or not Rumsfeld was behind it and if Bush ever saw any of them is also in doubt. Show me some proof and I’ll recant - but I’d prefer it didn’t come from Noam Chomsky if it’s all the same to you.
JT: I couldn’t agree with you more, but Deb’s your cookie-cutter liberal hypocrite. Her sexual orientation is only to be mentioned when it is to her advantage. She will use it to show how she has been a victim of “right wing hate politics,” because the majority of Americans don’t particularly care for a two-thousand year-old religious institution being re-defined to suit the minority special interest group that is gays and lesbians. She has admitted on these pages that the Democrats offer the most support to her, her lifestyle, and her non-traditional family. Her selfishness as a liberal will not consider what’s best for either her country, or the voting majority, and how dare YOU bring up her sexual orientation!
Just like Chris Rock can make “nigger” jokes all day while Oprah and Whoppi laugh their asses off, the minute a white person says it Al and Jesse are threatening to shut a city down. Don Rickles can go on Leno and discuss “Jew jokes” all night to the delight of the audience, but if a gentile makes one…watch out! These people are the masters of the double-standard. They will exploit their “differences” to no end of pervesion to suit their own needs, but for the other side to even mention the subject is verbotten!
You see, without victims seeking more support from the Government, there would be no Democratic Party. The last thing they want is to see people advance by means of hard work and merit, while being governed by the opinion of the majority. They truly hate America.
